Privacy Policy
Last updated 14 October 2026
This policy explains what information AgriNav collects, why, and your rights under UK data protection law. Questions or requests: help@agrinav.co.uk.
What we collect
- Location — your device's GPS position while the app is open, used to set your start point, follow you along the route and measure speed.
- Routes and machines — start, destination, and the tractor and trailer details you enter.
- Completed journeys — planned versus actual time, average speed, distance and machine size/weight, used to make journey times more accurate.
- Arrival survey — optional ratings of how realistic the time was, how suitable the roads were and the route overall, plus any comment you add.
- Account details — if you sign up: your name, email address, plan and saved garage and route history.
- Reports — hazards you report and their map position.
How we use it
- To plan and guide your routes and show live traffic.
- To improve timings and route suitability for all drivers, using combined journey statistics.
- To run your account and ad-free plan.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run the app: mapping and routing services (such as Google Maps and OpenRouteService) receive the locations needed to plan a route, what3words receives addresses you look up, our hosting and database provider stores account data, a voice service turns directions into speech, and our payment provider handles billing. We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is open. Journey statistics may be kept to improve accuracy. You can delete your account yourself at any time from My account → Security. This removes your profile, saved machines, route history and tractor requests and ends any subscription. Journey statistics, survey answers and hazard reports are kept only with your account details removed, so they can no longer identify you.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it, by emailing us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Location permission
You can turn location access off in your browser or phone settings at any time; the app will still work but cannot follow your position.
